not at all in my opinion, i think luck has very little to do with it, the ability to truly understand what you want out of life, what will make you happy, and to posses the ability to place yourself there despite any barriers you might run into is one major part of it, another would be drive, if you are lazy you will not be successful even if for you success is something very simple, lazy people always do just enough to piss through day to day but never quite enough to realize there dreams. lastly you have to have the ability to be content at some point, people (regardless of where you live, be it Singapore or the US or some place in a remote country in Africa) will always tend to want to continue to better themselves in one way or another, that in itself isn't bad because if gives challenge to life and prevents it from becoming too static but if you never are able to say to yourself "this is enough, anything i gain past this, anything i accomplish is all EXTRA, i have reached my goal" you will always feel like your in waiting for your life to get to where you want it to be and you can never get there so you will always be in-content and not fully happy. you have to set a standard or a "destination" and realize it when you've arrived.

Luck is bestowed to everyone's destiny layout , some have it , many ,too many don't ,and yes luck has allot to do with a successful life ( many will tell you no way , that they had worked very hard for it , and perhaps it is so , but luck had to play a part in the success , I know of many that have tried until their nails bled and could not realize the good fortune that they were looking for.

Luck. It plays a constant role in life. Luck can be god or bad depending wether your on the reciving end or your being influenced by someone elses.
To be successful you need to make the best out of all luck that is given to you. For the best or worst of luck you must take risks. There are people out there trying to make it big, only those who take big risks will reap the true rewards that luck will give.

I think there are many essential things for a successful life.Though it also depends on what you mean by successful. If you mean successful as in a good carreer then I believe that yes luck does somewhat play a role in things but so does hard work.If you mean successful as in happiness in life I think logic and companionship are essential.Everyone has different views of what success is.

I beg to disagree on that. Luck is really a type of superstition.
Superstition to me doesn't always hold it's ground. I would
say the proper education mixed with obedience in the Living
Saviour Jesus would have to make it the most successsful
here and now today as it could ever be.

No, but it's a factor in everyone's life.

And it depends on what you mean by "successful." If you mean financial success, then it's a matter of careful planning and risk assessment.

Success - for me - is more a matter of happiness and contentment, but yes, luck does play a part in that, albeit a small one.
