blood has hemoglobin that carrys oxygen to the cells. When it is exposed to Oxygen, (leaving the lungs, or bleeding through a cut) it turns red. When it returns to the heart and before it is pumped into the lungs, it is blue. Which is why veins are blue.

I heard that you blood is blue until it comes in contact with Oxygen.......so I asked my doctor she tells me that your Veins are not transperant and your blood is always red but you vein is blue

Human whole blood is red.
It does not matter if you take it from a capillary, vein or artery. It changes shade, from dark to bright ,depending on oxygen content, but it is always red.
