I think it was reported that last quarter, Haliburton made 1.5 Billion dollars -- in 3 months!!!
That should be a conflict of interest right there, since chenneys old company, and the no competititve bid ordeal.!!!

Watch it there, Y/A is very touchy about how much money Cheyney got.
He was paid over $34,000,000 as a "retirement" down payment. He is a major holder in the subsidiary in Iran.
I figure it's in the Billions
I hear that new tower in Dubai will be Cheyney Towers
The tallest building in the world.

I saw a documentary on that, but i forgot the amount. BUT, he made lot of cash. Any body denying it, is a hypocrite!
ADD: What I'm sure is that, while US denying a relation with Iran, Haliburton was doing some jobs over there!!!
***These naive people are beyond belief!! OR just plain stupid!***

directly- none
indirectly--a lot
it is done in a much more subtle way, halliburton makes cheney's friends and associates richer. they find ways to return the favor to cheney that are not directly connected to HAL. its called the good ole boy network.
an hypothetical example: HAL board of director John Doe is a friend of cheney's. he has served on BOD since cheney was CEO. John Doe is also a director for the XYZ Corp. Doe arranges for Cheney to give a speech to the XYZ executives. Cheney is paid 200K for giving the speech,+ gets an all expense paid trip to the luxury resort where the executive meeting takes place. while golfing and yacthing with the execs at the resort, cheney lines up 5 more speaking engagements.
this will have to happen after cheney leaves office. Ex presidents and VP's traditionally do not serve on BOD of for profit corporations. they get their payola in indirect ways.
there are many other ways to direct funds to a person besides the hypothetical example that i gave.
all of the big name politicians do it, dem and repub. they live and travel like rock stars after leaving office.
some are more flagrant than others.

Spreading unfounded rumors. Sedition is alive and well.
Don't you love the "guilty until proved innocent?" If this were done to the poster, he'd be spending thousands of our tax money to sue the President for libel/slander.
Yet he feels safe to do it. You're lying. Making things up doesn't swing voters your way. They'd be embarrassed to join sides with you.
I am and I'm a democrat. Give it a break. Focus on issues, not slander.

Not as much money as corporate america has given Bill Clinton, Bush and Guliani for NAFTA.
Shocking how so many posters are so nieve to believe our elected officials did not profit from Haliburton.

None. And Cheney gets deferred compensation for his Halliburton stock, which means it doesn't change according to the company's fortunes...and signed a contract turning over all profits to charity should the stocks ever be sold.
Nice try, though.

none. he parted with any and all connections to Haliburton prior to his becoming vice president. not to mention that senate committees are responsible for these types of things, not the vice president.
