I don't know how I feel about that. I think they should have given it a little bit of a rest before throwing a new face on the show. And Drew Carey...

I don't care who replaces Bob Barker...as long as it's NOT Rosie O' Donnell.
Drew Carey will probably do ok.

Rosie O'Donnell...No Barker's Babes and Gay Plinko?
I heard one of the reasons she wasn't chosen is she insisted Plinko be changed to Twinko...don't know if that's true or not.

How?

If you give it a little rest then who is going to host the show while it is resting? Or do you cancel the show, lose the time slot to something else along with the audience?

I don't think he and the show make a good fit, I think he has a better prime time game show that he is working on now. But, the Price is Right is the second most famous game show among fans right next to Let's make a Deal. To many people the show isn't a TV show it is an institution. Messing with that takes a lot of gall. But, Bob Barker has to be replaced and he can't be replaced with a no name, no talent hack. So maybe Drew Carey is right for the show.

I like Drew, I think he'll do a good job. Of course it will be a lot different, because there will never be another Bob Barker. I remember watching "Truth or Consequences" with Bob Barker when I was a little kid. I loved that show.

Hehe, before I saw one of the new episodes, I thought that Drew would do a good job... but just a couple of days ago I saw one for the first time, and for about half the show he sounded really really bored. It seemed to me that he took it all as a big joke and wasn't really doing the best he could for the show. All that aside, I am an avid Bob Barker dis-fan and would rather see Drew's bored amusement than Barker's conceited contempt.

They are contractually obligated by sponsors to keep the game show going.

I would have preferred Rosie. But Drew Carey will be just fine. He has Bob Barker's blessing. I think they should rename the Barker's Beauty's to Drew's Booties!

Drew Carey did a fine job hosting 'Whose Line' year after year and although he won't receive half the kisses that Mr. Barker did...he will make a fine host.
