I am in an area that has no acting schools whatsoever so I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find some good dvds to help improve my ability.

The "Uta Hagen's Acting Class" and "Sanford Meisner Master Class" (pricey, but oh-so-worth-it) DVDs are both superb - and both available from Amazon.

Buy these sets and watch 'em often. Between the two, you will learn a lot - though you will eventually need to "get your *** into class" (as it were).

Best of luck.

You cannot learn to act from a book or DVD. You only learn to act by acting. So get out there and get in a play and then another and another.

Tell me about your desire to study at a conservatory. Like all acting schools, many are just a scam. I will help you choose the right one.

Acting isn't learnt from DVDs . If you want to act you have to go somewhere where there are acting schools and attend one for two years . Acting is not an easy career , its a hard struggle and only the most talented and determined succeed .
