No I don't know of any one that abuses their parents or the elderly!! But if I did I would turn them in!!!

Yes. I knew a woman that could afford to have a home health care worker look after her mother that had Alzheimers and chose not to. She didn't want her mother's social security money to be used, she was pocketing it. She left the poor woman home alone 60 hours a week. She left out just one peanut butter and jelly sandwich for her to eat per day while she was gone. I turned her in, I could not live with the fact that it was happening. Neglect IS abuse. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. That poor old woman died in that house, all alone, before the state could help her. It breaks my heart.
