I love the South, born and raised here. But I also love the north. I lived in Maine for a few years. The south is better.

I was born in the south (North Carolina) and I love it there. It's home, the people are all great and the food is wonderful. I now live in the north (New York City) and it's equally as awesome, just in a totally different way. The summer is brutal (just like NC) but it's not as long, and who doesn't love NYC? There's so many cultural things to do that you can never find in the south.
This is a trick question because they both have great qualities.

Snag

I am from n.y. but currently live in south Carolina and I like them both for different reasons. New york is fast past and down south, a burger sometimes takes forever to get but up north people are rude and think they know everything and the south is sweet and kind! Weather wise, north has nice falls and the south doesn't, but the south has awesome summers and the north doesn't have that but they also they have that good snow! I miss that <3

I' am a bit bias because I was born and raise in the south. But I pick the South because of the hospitality, the people, food and culture.

The north all the way! It's beautiful, New York is up that way, I love the snow in the winter, great department stores with fair prices and of course, all the places to visit, the buildings to see. Ah, the beautiful Statue of Liberty. I was born in the north, also.

the South, hands down.

-and for those of you who are so adamant about proclaiming Southerners as nothing but racists, my advise is to check out the real South and stop getting your facts from outdated sources. Also, the last time I was up North (2 weeks ago, to be exact), racists were everywhere to be found.

For a permanent residence the North b/c I love the changing of the seasons & I'll ALWAYS be a Pittsburgh girl at heart. But I will always love the south, esp. New Orleans. I was there on a missions trip & it just took a piece of my heart. I love to vacation down there.

No, I say north because you get to experience all of the seasons and in the south, the hotness gets old after a while.
