Well lets see here. First off we went to the wrong country...Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 While we allow the Taliban to grow as strong now as they were then in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Second of all we said it was to find weapons of mass destruction (hint Haliburton contract). Third once we realized that there were no weapons we decided to take a country of extremists and force democracy upon them. (Dont get me wrong democracy is by far the best form of government) You can not push your will upon someone...how would we as Americans feel if China came in and tried to force their ideals upon us? Colon Powell saw the writing on the wall a long time ago and realized that Bush was headed in the wrong direction so he jumped ship. You will continue to see some of the right wingers to back Bush...however his numbers continue to decline. So to answer your question George Bush made the comment Mission Accomplished? Perhaps someday he will let us know what that mission was...! I think the mission was to get his oil buddies a little more cash in their pockets personally!

No one actually said mission accomplished. The sign was put up on the aircraft carrier by the soldiers, who in fact had completed their mission and were going home.

If you do not believe me, go back and read the speech Bush made. He never said mission accomplished and in fact mentioned in his speech that it would be a much longer fight.
