I watched Chronicles of Narnia couple times but never really thought much about it...until my boyfriend pointed out about the Uncle character ---the 4 kids' uncle who let them live in his house. I'm just wondering about him because he seems kinda mysterious...examples would be like when the 3 older kids didn't believe the youngest sister, Lucy, about the closet, and he seemed all interested like he knows something...and he suggested they should believe Lucy, and it just seems like every time the kids told him about the closet he always seemed like he knows something....

so i don't know if it's just me
or that character is mysterious?

The first book in the series actually answers your question. You do have to read the whole chronicles to get the whole story, but the first book covers most of the bases.
