You can lose it. A TC Badge is not forever (which seems rather cheap)

It takes more than a Violation - I think you have to KEEP answering questions in the appropriate category (and stay above the 10% Best Answer mark)
Regardless - The Yahell "Answers gods" REFUSE to let us know HOW they make this decision >:(

I'm not sure. Today I noticed that I lost my top contriubutor badge, and I have no clue.
And not too long ago I got a question deleted, so maybe that was it.

It happened to me. Used to be a Top Conbtributor in Singles & Dating, but then I lost my badge of honor as I have been answering in other areas as well. I've been answering within Relationships, so is it that I stopped answering so much in Dating that lost me my badge? *pout*
