I think it starts at the root: We fail to love God above all things. Then we fail to love one another.

Pride and all other destruction follows.

P.S. I also disagree with the above comment (Sheky's).

Sin is equal in the sense that it separates us from God. But I do not believe that all sin is equally bad. How can a mass murderer like, say, Hitler, be equally as evil as, say, someone who fails to forgive someone, or someone who has stolen a pen?

Nevertheless, all sin IS sin (evil, destructive) and we need to understand that. But I don't believe it's Biblical to clump ALL sin into the same category.

Hypocrisy, placing yourselves above others who are not part of your religion or a different sect of Christianity. I would also say the biggest sin is that too many Christians fail to follow the basic philosophy of Christ laid out in Matthew 25:35-25:40.

I think the biggest sin we can commit is hurting other people...
i strongly disagree with ppl who say sin is a sin... killing a person or hurting an innocent child is not the same as let's say a teenager lying to his/parents over something they are trying to hide...

What ive learned is sin is sin. You cant place one sin as worse than another. Cheating on someone is just as bad as murdering somebody else. Everything that is sin is flat out the same level, but thats why Jesus died for us so we can ask for forgiveness. And all sins have consenquences wether the law, or karma eventually we have something that happens because of something else we did. But such is life, thank God for Jesus's blood. ~ Sheky

Sin is sin, but upon thinking about it, I'd have to say everyone is probably guilty of putting themselves before God more often than not.

Rejection of the Holy Spirit (blashemy of the Holy Spirit) is the ONLY unpardonable sin mentioned in the Bible. Most of the rest is up for interpretation no matter what anyone says but it is forgivable in God's eyes.

In God's eye all sin is bad. No one sin is worst than another. Because we think humanly, we associate bad sin with bad act. Stealing isn't as bad as murder. But to God it is sin and therefore does not like it. That is were Grace by faith in Jesus comes in. No matter what you do Jesus will listen.

exactly like sheky said the bible clearly says that sin is sin and that we do not get to sit in judgement of peoples sin. All anyone can do is accept the gift of forgiveness.

there is no greatest sin each sin is the same amount as bad or not. Example..lying is just as bad as killing someone in gods eye they are both in his 10 commandments and he doesn't write witch is the worst or least bad.

I don't fear my God , why would I ? we all sin so ............. what is your point. Seriously ? We are all visitors here on earth , this is only a test. We are spiritual beings would'nt you agree.
Thus why would I concern myself with man made religion.

Religion is for people who are afraid to go to hell

Spirituality is for those of us who have been there
