Joe Addicks is thinking about being the first person to take a Hot Air Balloon into outter space to dock with the Space Station. Does anyone think he will make it ?

I think he's an idiot. Does he understand how a hot air balloon works? Does he believe he can make the air in his balloon hot enough that it's density would be less than that of a vacuum?

I never heard of that, but JP Aerospace IS talking about helium balloons to space. They are planning some kind of secret electric propulsion to go from floating at 200,000 feet to orbit. They are serious and I think they may really be on to something, but I have to admit, that is REALLY out of the box thinking.
