The existing Irapi military was disbanded becase of the large number of Bathists who were occupying positions within their military. We intended to remove the regime not just the leader. It was nearly impossible to rise in the ranks of Saddams regime without being a member of the Bathe party. Much like Nazi germany. Rommel was the only general of any note that was not also a nazi, His military genius was recognized early in his career and led to his sucessful advancement in the reich operated military.

No. The Iraqi army was disbanded because they were loyal to Saddam, and Rumsfeld wanted to start fresh to train a new army.

No, tard. It is for the same reason the Wehrmacht/Nazi party was disbanded after WW2. The difference was that the Germans loved life, wanted to rebuild the country and there were no Islamofacist SOBs blowing up markets.

they disband themselves, either by order or by cowardice. Rumsfeld had nothing to do with it other than sending a very intimidating force into Iraq.
