Last winter I saw a really bright star and called the folks over at the college to see if it was something I should worry about. They told me it was probably serious, so I went down to the Piggly Wiggly and stocked up on all the canned food they had. Shows you what college folks know. But now I'm stuck with the sirius problem of several cases of asparagus and okra about to go bad in my basement.

Well, when you ask the folks at the Piggly Wiggly you don't really expect a scientific answer, do you?
And if your canned foods are going bad already, you have a more "sirius" problem (that Piggly Wiggly is selling expired food).

Love the "sirius" statement. Although it is the Dog Star and more associated with summer, your question is still a hoot.

Why did you hoard asparagus and okra instead of raviolis and spaghetti-o's?
