Do you constantly find yourself worrying about what people are thinking or saying about your appearance? The way you dress, the way you talk etc....?

I'm not going to say a straight up "No" but I used to do that. Then I realized that I'm living my own life. If I'm constantly worried about trying to correct myself to please their eyes, or have them think something good about myself then I'll be missing out on what I like to do to make myself happy. I just got fed up with people cuz a lot of people are just immature children who have nothing better to do with their time than to worry about other people. A lot of people's lives must be that dull that they can't live it for themselves so they try to get other people to live it for them by doing what they are doing. Bottom line...live your OWN life kid!

Back in high school it was important and it made me miserable. In college it didn't get any better and the additional pressure of school got to be more than I could take.

When I joined the Army I stopped caring so much. We all dressed alike, looked alike, had our heads shaved, and were going through tough training. I started to worry more about what I thought and what was going on with me. The opinion of others didn't matter as much, except for the Drill Sargents for course.

That attitude made me a much happier person. When I stopped trying to please the people around me I became a better person and people started finding things they liked about me, more than ever before.

I am short, fat, and out of shape, yet I have a girlfriend and other friends. I have other problems that can make my life pretty tough, but I don't care what others are thinking about me and unless they are my friends and family I find it really doesn't matter. It has made me a better person and someone that makes a better friend.

When I cared more about what other people thought about me I was necrotic and a mess. When their opinion mattered less to me I became more stable and a better person for it. I wish I could have told my old self in high school about that. It may not have made my life any easier, but I would have had more fun.

Nope - I do my best to keep myself as presentable as I can afford to and try to work more on my inside (attitude, doing for others)... for some people, I'll never be pretty enough, skinny enough, stylish enough... and that's ok because I'm not mean, selfish or unkind... so I can live with that. Hope you can too :)

no, but isn't it easy to dress in a way that the majority of people approve of, i mean it's pretty obvious what that is isn't it?

so either go your own way, and who cares what they think or conform and wear what most people around you are wearing, and then the will think you look great.

Yea i used to think all the time. I noticed that i do't really care what they say if it's bad or good. I'm used to it and just forget about it. They can say what they want.

I used to worry about it a lot. But I reached the point where I realized it didn't matter what other people think. Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. Or in the words of the song: You can't please everyone so you gotta please yourself.
