Double question?England was really unlucky, but they can take plenty of heart from the display of their inexperienced pace attack. James Anderson, in particular, was a revelation with his consistency. Clearly, India is a side that brings out the best in him: his only previous Test against them was at Mumbai in 2006 after 14 months away from Test cricket, and came away with match figures of 6 for 79. Anderson averages 15.69 against India, with 13 wickets from two Tests.

India were really lucky to escape. Indian bowlers did a good job throughout the test except for the first day. Indian batsman were not very good. I was expecting a lot from Dravid,Tendukar and Ganguly. Ganguly was not so bad but Dravid and Tendulkar were really disappointing.Dhoni played a mature innings, he played really well. England had an advantage as they were playing at the home ground.K Pietersen's innings was very good. He played a brilliant innings. The English bowlers bowled really well especially J Anderson and R Sidebottom. I think India will perform much better in the second test and England will continue their good work. Second test will be interesting to watch.

Dravid's really lucky to get away with a draw. He must thank the rain-gods. As for Jimmy Anderson he's turning out to be the next best bowler of England & that too after a long time.

I fully agree with you. It was a pity that the famed Indian batting line upcould not take advantage of bowling out England for less than 300 runs in first Innings and conceded a lead of 98 runs to England, which really helped England to put pressure on India in the 2nd innings. India should be
thankful to inexperienced youngsters Dinesh Karthik, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and also the rain God for saving the
test.

Really lucky.
Contrary to expectations as always, the bowlers fared better than the ageing batters. However Pieterson was the difference between the two teams.
