Im 17 years old, I started my period when I was about 13
I only had a regualr cycle for about 3 years, and for about the past year or so I'v barley had any periods, they skip ALL the time, and if i do have one it only lasts for about a day. I'v also gained about 45-50 lbs. I barley eat ANYTHING bad for me, i've been doing the best i can to loose the weight.. I go to the gym about 2 times a day, i eat 6 small healthy meals to keep my metabolism going.. I really just dont know whats wrong with me. Could not having my period be my source of weight gain?? Please help.

You really NEED to see a doctor about this ... ASAP. It could be that you are eating too little and exercising too much to have periods, but the 'weight gain' makes it somewhat 'alarming' and you really need to have a 'thorough examination' by a good doctor to see what is 'wrong' with you ... you may have hypothyroidism, which can cause weight gain and cause periods to stop, and ONLY a doctor can give you a prescription to make you 'better' ... depending on the 'numbers' of your thyroid count.

Please go to a GYN..... These are symptoms and could lead to a diagnosis. I'm thinking Poly Cystic Ovaries. I'm not a Medical person but I've seen friends an acquaintances with the disorder. They gain weight for no reason.... ALL over their body, they have extremely large legs, clear to the ankles. Spotty periods... many have facial hair, but not all.

You Need to be seen by a doctor!

I think you really should see a doctor about these problems.
It could be something major like a thyroid problem.
