The United States would be better off if the federal government got back under the Constitution. Our forefathers realized that we needed at least some form of federal government to create a more perfect union between the states. However, they limited the power of the federal government to to the Constitution to protect and preserve individual and state's rights. Sadly, over the years the government has expanded it's authority and infringed on those very rights. If we want to make the U.S. better we need to start limiting the government to the Constitution.

The U.S.A. would be better off if it were a democracy instead of a republic. A government completely ruled by its own people would allow for much less "pork", "earmark" and fraudulent spending of taxpayers' dollars.
A government ruled by those representative elected by the people almost always results in an arrogant, incompetent, corrupt political system ruled by wealthy elitists and not at all accountable to the people. -RKO- 07/23/07
