Bush administration has been spending far greater then any recent president. Mainly because Bush refuses to restrain Congress's spending spree by using his veto or show any leadership in criticizing congress because his party is in power and he can't bring himself to criticize his own party. Now I have always relied on the republicans to control spending but this time around nobody wanted to stop the gravy train. Not even the president.
