After my period ended, I decided to take a pregnancy test because I had an extra one. My period was a little lighter than usual (I am on the pill) but I assumed it was because I've been on the pill for a couple years now.

Anyway, as I watched the urine move across the window, a line moved across as well (I kinda freaked when I saw it move across the positive line...I thought this meant it was going to be in positive) but at 10 seconds and 5 minutes there as only ONE line. I took two more tests that were negative.

So when the instructions say a pink color moving across the window indicates the test is working, do they mean a pink line??

For those of you have taken the test, is that what happened?

The same thing happened to me when I took a First Response. It really looked like it was going to be a positive, and then, all of a sudden, it was a negative! Although, I am still 15 days late, so it could've been wrong, I guess. lol
Also, if you are on the pill, it will make your periods lighter and shorter. (That's part of the perks!) If you took your pills correctly, you probably have nothing to worry about.

as the urine crosses through the test strip it passes through the area that detects hcg or the hormone related to pregnancy. that is why the instructions tell you to wait the time you are to wait for it to properly develope. this is a normal finding. Please practice safe sex and use protection even though you are on the pill. There is a surge in gonorrhea, chlamydia and herpesamong young people.
