when i was younger i got a few good *** kickings. 9 years and under. see my mom had this black plastic spoon and every time we knew we did something wrong and we heard the silverware draw open we ran for the hills cause we knew what was coming. ( im one of 7 so we easily got into trouble together) but the most recent back hand i got was about a year and a half ago. i think i told my mom to "shut up" or something. im turning 16 soon and i know to never say something like that to my mom

My dad smacked me in the face one time. He knocked off my glasses and they broke, then he blamed me for the glasses breaking.

It doesn't matter if they are your parents or not, being smacked in the face is never OK. No-one has the right to hurt you, there's no excuse for violence unless you are defending yourself.
I'm sorry that the people who are supposed to be protecting you have assaulted you. If you need to talk to someone who can help here is a number 1-877-KIDS-400

Yes, when I was 12. Pisses you off, huh? Wait until you become a parent, you will look at the situation from a different view. Not sure what happened with you, but I know that looking back at me, I deserved it.

My mom popped me in the mouth, but I deserved it.

My dad backhanded me full-force, pulled me up from the ground by my hair, threw me back against the couch and choked me.... that's called abuse though. I have an incredibly unhealthy relationship with my father.

I love my mother dearly and we are closer now (in my adulthood) than we ever were when I was younger.

Yes often............. My mom was very abusive

It wasnt for talking back....... she was an alcoholic with a temper. I was raised by an army drill Sgt. I knew better then to talk back. My dad wouldn't have hit me he would have made me regret my bad choice, by making me run ( along side of him) or push ups ect.

nope, however i used to be quite the brat to my mom and her therapist told her to throw water in my face as it is not abusive but gets results....

she would say "drink it or wear it" and i was so stuborn i would not drink it so she would throw it on me, after some time i learned to just drink the water to calm down lol yes i am a slow learner!

well i calmed down either way, but it was much cleaner to drink the water lol
