Right now he ROnaldo is the better player. BUt he is also a couple of years older. Ronaldo might win FIFA player of the year, while Messi isn't even the best player on his club team or national team (ronaldinho and riquelme respectively). In a few years though, they will challenge eachother as to who the better plater is. FOr now....Cristiano Ronaldo.

Two totally different players playing different positions...
You can't really compare one with the other.....
Ronaldo has a shot at being player of the year....but Kaka has the edge right now ...still Futbol to play.....

That's a matter of opinion, but the greatest difference is that C. Ronaldo is a choker. Messi never was or is.
