You should start to see improvement within 2 days, but it can also appear to get a little worse before it gets better. Be sure all of the ich is gone from the tank before you stop treatment! Most medications will have you stop treatment too soon. Keep treating the tank for 7 days after you see the last spot on any fish to be sure the ich is gone.

Yes, increase the heat as directed. Heat will speed up the ich parasites life cycle and allow you to treat it faster.

I don't know what type of fish you have though raise the temperature to the low 80's, increase the surface movement of the aquarium (this can be by redirecting your output of a canister to agitate the surface, adding an air stone, increasing filtration or any number of methods) and treat the fish for at least 7 days. Medication does not kill ich when they are attached to the fish or when they are in a cyst/egg stage. It only kills the fish when they are free swimming. This is why you need to continue treatment even when it seems like the ich is cured because as the cysts/eggs hatch you much kill the new batch while they are swimming to find your fish hosts. After the full medication cycle make a large water change and add some new activated carbon to your filter. You can bring your temperature back to normal.

They dont give exact time but around 3-4days and long some times and you should put your aquarium to 90Degrees Fahrenheit to quickly speed up the ich(ick)s age so they die faster.

At 90 your fish shouldntt have any problems. Your fish will survive. And when the ich is gone you can lower the temp to normal.

Hope this helps

Well, my classroom fish had ick. We gave them some drops or something like that. I believe it took at the longest a week. But, at the shortest, a few days. I would recommend that you keep checking on the fish, just to see if you see anything going away. I hope that this answers your question! I don't know about that much about ick, so, I won't get mad if you don't pick me as best answer. Thanks, and good luck!

If you have a fresh water tank. To prevent more ick you should go to the pet store and ask for saltwater fish salt and put a small amount in your tank it will help prevent another outbreak.
