I am a young man with the responsibility of a 17 year old "troubled teen" girl. She is a good kid but needed to be taken out of the bad environment she was in with her parents.
I cant watch her 24/7 and i need to be able to get a hold of her while im at work.

I would like to be able to restrict her from calling certain "friends" and recieving these calls while I am at work.

I am desparate for help, I dont want her to keep in touch with old friends and fall back into old ways. thank you

I am not sure if you can block numbers so she cannot call or they cannot call her you should talk to your provider about that
but changing the number doesnt mean she wont call them
My suggestion is to get a kiddie phone they have some of those disney one's at wal-mart they are kinda like walkie-talkies and you can program 4 numbers in there and instead of dialing she jsut presses the green, blue, red, or yellow button. Its very good for kids and she will probably not like it but its my best guess you can program your cell phone, your house phone, your work phone, and maybe her parents home phone if she is allowed to talk to them if not then make up a fourth number so she cannot call her friends.
Good Luck
I hope this helps some

I got my son a Sanyo SCP-3100 with Sprint.
You can program in the numbers that can be called and received.
It doesn't advertise it as a phone that can be locked down but it is in the owners manual.
It works great and even has a camera.
We have had it for 8 months and I like it better than the firefly phones.

You might look into a phone that she can use that she can only call you, the police, and the fire department. I believe there's a brand out called Firefly that does this. It might be a little young for her, so contact the cell phone company and ask them if there is a way to block all calls out but to you and emergency crews.

Good Luck

I have been given my first cellular telephone as quickly as I grew to become sixteen. confident, i'm on a shared plan. i've got not got text cloth messaging or get admission to to the internet. the ingredient is, i became on my thank you to graduating early and became taking classes interior the evening. i became making plans on going to my community college and it became one in all those prompt touch with my dad and mom. All this on the age of sixteen. they are divorced. Now, i'm in college and constantly on the flow. (additionally, we've constantly had a house telephone.) I do purely no longer believe the dad and mom on letting their babies have cells whilst all their youngster does is purely flow to college and to a associates living house. incredibly, if there are like, "... yet everybody else has one..." guy, I hate that excuse. Plus, being below sixteen. Sorry, that became my age to have a cellular and it is going to be for my little ones. based, on what they are doing for themselves, fairly than purely going to college or to a associates living house. Maybe you should worry about speaking to her about her behaviors, rather than trying to delete friends from her life. Remember that they may have been bad news, but they may also have been great support for her, and they may just be the sort of people that she feels comfortable talking to during times of need. Everyone deserves to have people like this in their lives.

Some cell phone plans offer parental control limiting what numbers can be called. I believe there is also a way of limiting incoming calls as well. Contact the provider and find out what they offer.

Sit down and talk with her. Tell her if she continues to talk with these people you will get her a "kid" phone. You get the phone records every month so you'll know who she's talking to. If she continues, get her the "kid" phone.

TEENAGERS DO NOT NEED ELECTRONIC GADGETS!!!
Take the cell phone away and use a normal phone to call on.

I'm pretty sure, as long as you're the one paying her bill, that you can block certain numbers. Talk to the provider about it.
