i have an attorney on my case for social security it has been 28 months now the lawyer said all we are waiting for is an answer on wheather we go befor a judge so how long does that take i live in okla

I don't know, but I'm pretty sure I don't want the same people running my health care.

It takes at least 18 months. It depends on the judge and how long the Social Security people can drag out the process. Once you get into court you will have a much better chance of winning than with the officers at the local level. If you have been waiting 28 months you should be getting in soon.

It really depends on the case, My husband had to wait a little over 2 years but when he finally went before the judge and was approved he got all backpay from the time he applied.

it took me 3&1/2 years, i applied in the end of 03 and just won my case in june of 07
