You mean like song and dance films, Film Noir and so on?
Probably not.
But, I suggest renting them and enjoying them as they were back in the day. Nothing will ever be as good ever again.
That's what I do.

What's all this about the acting not being very good in the 50's? Some of the greatest actors of all time did their best work in the 50's. Here are a few: Marlon Brando, James Dean, Orsen Welles, Bogart, Kathrine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy, Rita hayworth, Elizabeth Taylor, Barbara Stanwyck, Peter Sellers, Shirley Maclaine... And the films released, say, in 1955 were some of the best ever made: The Ladykillers, Mister Roberts, Diabolique, Rebel Without a Cause, The Night of the Hunter, Bob le Flambeur, Rififi, The Trouble with Harry, The Seven Year Itch, The Blackboard Jungle, To Catch a Thief, Killer's Kiss... I could go on, but I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a year in the last 20 that put out this many classics. The 50's were an amazing period for films. Too bad nowadays, they only make films for 14 year old boys.

They still make black and white movies today. The technology and picture and everything that is better now in the future is improved and won't go back to the way it was in the 50's. Although Technology is better, it doesn't mean that the movies back then had weaker acting. Some back then were pretty amazing and are considered "CLASSICS"

Depends upon what you mean. They do make a lot of films in the same style as 50s films. Look at Down With Love starring Ewan McGregor. Even Hairspray has a 50s musical feel to it.
So, it all depends upon what you are looking for. The old styles never die, they just may get lost in the shuffle with the newer styles.

If you are referring to musicals, I am afraid that the answer is no. The cost of a musical was high compared with other movie types and the differential is even higher now

i dont think so, cause most of the eras they try to remake in movies are usually the 60s 70s and 80s, which i think are better than movies today, cause some of the movies can be kinda cheesy. but that's just mee =)

I have nothing to back this up... but
I think so. Vintage is "in" right now.
Even people who don't watch or know anything about old movies claim to love all the glamourous old Hollywood actresses.

No, because back then you didn't need to show everything you had under your clothes on film.

No, the medium is evolving. However that doesn't mean that none will ever be as good.
