you will probably loose HP if anything - the computer relies on the air temp to gauge how much fuel to mix with the air.
you are better off running a cold air intake from in front of the radiator to best gain HP's cold air is better than "faking cold air to make the computer dump more fuel into the motor

You will not gain anything as the computer will go into a default mode which will set the sensor reading to a fixed value and do its calculations from that which will reduce the performance of the motor. It will also set a code and turn the SES light on the dash on. Try buying a performance chip/programmer that you install into the PCM to enhance the motor/trans. operations. Good luck.

the computer uses the air intake temp to determine the ideal a/f ratio...bypassing the senor is just going to make your car run rich all the time..you'll probably loose power instead of gaining it...anytime you go full throttle the car goes into power enrichment mode anyways (it doesn't look at the IAT) don't do it..you'll just ruin gas milage and driveability

it's a waste of time on a stock motor. any gain in timing will be pulled back out by the knock senor
