There was plenty of time for Iraq to rid themselves of WMD's following Clinton's suspicions re: them. If you recall, Hussein did NOT conform to the UN sanctions within the allotted time, ergo: the war! You can bet your bottom $ those WMD'S are somewhere in Syria!!!!!!!!!!

1.) Complete, utter incompetence at the highest levels and lack of integrity in the career bureaucratic positions that should have kept them from going so far astray.

I have always wondered why both sides run to 9/11 when talking to Iraq. If Iraq was a real threat, 9/11 would not be the cause for invading. Iraq being a threat unto itself would be the cause.
