I have run into many an odd name. I know of Alice Longbottom. When she married, her name became Alice Longbottom Glasscock. I have also heard of Hedda Lettuce. I went to school with Thomas Jefferson, Peter Pan, and Wendy Darling. I worked with Mr. Deschmuck and Mr. Parikh. (Yes, the pronunciation is exactly what you are thinking.). I met a woman who heard a melodious word in the delivery room and named her daughter "Placenta".
