Slo-pitch?
Fast-pitch?
Co-ed or ALL girls?
School league?
Parks & Recreation League?
Depends on what your basic baseball skills are...
I presume you have some degree of athletic ability.
I also presume you have a good arm and can make accurate, strong throws.
>Pitching...can't throw underhand? fuggidaboutit
>Are you tall and can catch hard throws and dig out low throws? play First
>Good at handling grounders? play Second
>Can you handle hot grounders? play Third
>Can you handle grounders and cover ground? play Short
>Can you catch high fly balls and have a good arm? Outfield
>Are you big, strong and tough? play Catcher
*Of course it's impossible to place you where you would be the most effective without seeing you in tryouts so, I'll leave it up to your team Manager to make the right decision as far as what position you'll be playing.
But, whatever position you play, just HAVE FUN and enjoy the experience and the chance to participate and to learn the thrill of winning and the disappointment of losing...they go hand-in-hand.

if you really want to be a pitcher sign up for pitching lessons. usually you go once a week. if you can't afford it see if a pitcher on the varsity team will help you and give you tips. that is what i did. but if you want to be a position player think of what your best skills are. if you have quick feet, a good arm,and can react to the ball quickly shortstop or third base might be right for you. if you have an ok arm and ok reaction time second is more for you. if you don't have a very good arm try first base. if you want to play outfield you need to have endurance. centerfield is one of the hardest positions to play because you literally move on every single play. you back everyone up and you have to have a pretty good arm. if you can run for a little while and have a good arm but don't think you can run enough for center try left or right. get some of your friends to go to a community park with you and help you practice. try different positions and see which of them comes more naturally. of course ALWAYS play where your coach wants you to. he/she knows what your skills are and how they can help the team the most

You could play pitcher and all you have to do it get a bucket put it about 40-45 ft away from you and try to pitch in the bucket. First Base is a great position if you like to get a lot of ppl out-shortstop is good but u have to have a strong arm. Playing shortstop is like one of the best position b/c a LOT of ppl hit there and try to hit there and just always hit there. Shortstop would be good i would say. But i play all positions but i mainly play pitcher, first and shortstop and it really doesnt matter what position you play just as long as you are having fun and have fun playing it!!! Hope I helped!

Well if you have a strong arm, you might want to play the left side of the infield (shortstop and third base) or the outfield. If you're good at stretching out and catching stray balls, I suggest that you play first base. I'm not quite sure what skills you have, so I can't really tell you what position to play. You can always contact me at y4nk33pr1d3@yahoo.com if you have any more questions

If you have good catching and throwing ability you should be a out fielder or first base. If your good at ground balls you should play second base or shortstop. If you want to catch and throw people out at second you should try catcher but if you want to pitch practice and you will get better the coach will deside.
Hope I Helped Best wishes

No, there are tons of co-ed and different softball leagues that you simply would signal up for and play recreationally. If you're asking approximately gambling on your tuition workforce then sure its more commonly too past due as nearly all of avid gamers are there on athletic scholarships.

go for 2nd if ur good at fielding ground balls, so then u dont have to have a cannon for an arm. if u can throw long distances and are fast, try outfield. really u shouldtalk to see where ur coach thinks u should play bc she probably knows more about ur skill level and what ur good at for the position.
