there are fruit flies around my microworms! Also, since you know about microworms, it has been 2 days and i dont know how to tell if they are "crawling" up the sides. Are they dead?!?!?!?

The fruit flies are attracted to the yeast in the culture, so they'll naturally hang around it. Most fruits have some yeasts on the outside of their skin, and it's they yeasts that the fruit flies eat.

This link will tell you about what you should be doing with your culture: http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/fishfood/culturingmicroworms.php You should be able to see the culture becoming more liquified and the microworms should be in the top of the food mix/along the sides of your culture container in the "shiny" areas.
