it was a fitting ending to an amazing series. jk rowling has done her self, and all her fans very proud. i was so sad reading it though, as i knew this would be the last time i ever read a harry potter book for the first time. everyone should read these books!

Well I think the book was great as promised rowling didn´t force any new characters in for close but tight the knot with what was already in there. In the way she explained lots above Dumbledore and Snape and also about Harry heritage, Book six was so "all about you know who" that this really was better in showing more of the other mayor characters.
My only two critics about Rowlings writting as far is that in her climax her writting is as messy as what is going around in Book 3 and also in this the battle is far away from beign as neat as her others descriptions through the book. Also her epilogue is quite short for what you want even if literally is long for an epilogue (better had added a chapter there instead)

I agree. Before reading Book 7, I would have never expected some of the things that happened in the end.

Disagree. The epilogue was terribly cheesy. I would have preferred to hear about things maybe a year or so after Voldemort died. I could not imagine the characters as adults with kids and stuff. Also, we didn't hear about any of the characters except Ron, Hermione, Harry and Ginny. What about the rest of the Weasleys? And Luna? I wanted to know about everybody, not just those four. It should have gone back to the Burrow for a big Weasley family dinner or something. It's not how I wanted to leave our "Boy Wizard"

I thought it was just right. Definitely some tragic moments, but I came out of it satisfied in the way the story was concluded.
I was really impressed with how Rowling did it. I'm sure she had pressure on her that I could not even imagine, from the fans and her publisher and agent. I think it is my second favorite book from the entire series.

I loved the final chapter containing the final confrontation between Riddle (Voldemort) and Harry. While the epilogue was good, I wish it had provided more information on those who survive.

Agree. Completely agree. Those final moments and the way everything played out...it was all just perfect.
I could've done with less deaths but since it was a war we all knew there would be casualties.

I loved everything about the book-and trust me, I would never want to spoil it for anyone else-but I was a bit disappointed with the epilogue-I figured it would have said more.
