Ever since my high school sweet heart and I started dating, his mother and I have had a great relationship. We share a lot in common being that we are in the fitness industry. He son and I broke up 9 years ago. Now her son my ex is getting married and I couldn't be happier with the man that I am with. Despite the fact that he son is getting married and I am in a relationship, we still talk on the phone and talk in person. However, when she askes me to come over for dinner or just to come over and say hi, I feel wierd. I don't want to say no and hurt her feelings since we have a good relationship. What should I do?

Act as a mature adult and accept the invitation. You and he have both obviously grown and learned from this relationship so why not remain as friends. After all nobody can have too many friends so accept friendship when it is offered in a real, no strings attached manner.

Enjoy your friendship with her and let the past be the past.
