The chances of conceiving each month are as low as 25%.
Some people think they can get pregnant *bam* just by having sex once (and some people do.)
But don't start getting all worried about your fertility, at least for a year.
If nothing happens by then, a trip to your doctor is in order.

There is only a few days every month when the average woman can get pregnant. From the sounds of it you are average if everything came out fine with the gyno. Having sex every other day might also be your problem. Having sex this often, a male does not have enough time to build up enough semen for the rare chance that one will reach your egg.

My husband and I have had every test possible given by our fertility specialist doctor and we appear perfectly normal in every way (my hormones, uterine shape and lining, regular ovulation and normal periods, sperm analysis, HSG to check for tubal blockage, immune testing for both, and much, much more). We were both young when we started TTC 8 years ago (I was 22 and he 26) and in perfect health. No history of any STDs, surgeries, or trauma to the reproductive organs. 8 years later (and 3 IUIs and 3 IVFs) I am FINALLY pregnant with a single baby as a result of the last IVF. Every single IUI and IVF went perfectly and to this day, we still have no idea what the cause of our infertility is.
The point of my story it not to scare you. For the VAST majority of couple out there, having a baby will come quickly and easily. But 1 out of 5 couples who are TTC are infertile, and 15% of those infertile couples will have an unexplained diagnosis. So it may seem like a no brainer (and I wish it was!), but the truth is reproduction truly is a miracle that we don't understand entirely.
Good luck and I hope your TTC is a short one!

I'm in the SAME exact situation as you. I've gotten checked by the doc and she said everything is good with me. Blood test, papsmear, transvaginal ultrasound..you name it.....I've even bought an ovulation kit to see when I ovulate but they never worked for me. Although it's only been a month trying, I would think it's a no brainer for the females that are good to go.....But I've heard that if you're stressed about it, this can cause your cycle to become weird.....So here I am waiting to come off my period to start again......
I've also heard for the man to have coffee 15 min before sex so that sperm swim faster......So just keep on trying and even though it's hard to say, try to have fun sex rather than planned.....

I hope it is that easy for you but just because the Dr says everything looks ok doesnt mean it is 100%. There are many factors that can be seen during a normal exam such as ovulatiion or blocked tubes not to mention the fact that even with a completely healthy couple there is only a 30% chance to conceive each month. Good Lukc and I hope you are one of the ones it comes easy for!! :)

Did you get a normal gyno exam, or a fertility exam? There is a big difference. You can look fine, pass all the tests, but still have problems. If you are having unprotected sex every other day constantly for one year, chances are you will get pregnant.

Well, if you are more busy stressing over whether "this time could be the time I get pregnant", that can keep it from happening! Believe me, I did that! I thought something was wrong w/ me...it took over a year (because I was stressing), immediately after the dr said everything looks fine, we got pregnant...I got tired of stressing and just decided to enjoy the time w/ my husband. Relax, and have fun trying!!! good luck and baby dust to you! Oh, BTW...I'm now expecting baby #4...YIKES!! ha ha!

if you and your husband are having sex that much his sperm count is lower each time you have sex. A woman usually ovulates in the middle of her cycle two weeks before her period should start. The best thing, if you really want to get pregnant is have sex in the middle of your cycle and not have to much sex a few days before then.

some people it take years believe it or not. my friend has wanted a baby for awhile and then even more when she found out we were pregnant, now my baby is 6 mths old and they still aren't. You have to be patient , you can't expect just to be pregnant in a month. good luck
