Physical and mental abuse from my dad. I try to forget those events, but a little bit of the pain still lives on. I learned a bit about my childhood, and I will never be what my dad became. Come to think of it, I am now more stronger and wiser!

yes, my parents comparing me to my oldest sibling
im 20 y/o LSU college student .. my oldest sister is a 28 y/o Assistant District Attorney...she's very accomplished...and has always excelled as a child...me; i was accomplished but i had more of an exciting lifestyle .. im a computer engineer major with a 3.67 gpa and always on the dean's list, i'm very accomplished at a young age and i STILL have an exciting lifestyle and don't plan on giving it up anytime soon...and i still "don't compare" to my older sister..even though we have two totally different career choices & we are nothing alike. so i've grown to have a certain grudge towards my parents and my older sister that i can't seem to shake off...

wow that felt gr8 to get off my chest..

Anything significant in your childhood affects who you are as an adult. Positive role models, traumatic events, where your parents took you on vacation, whether you had pets or not...it's just that the traumatic memories stand out in people's minds.

Yes. Once, an ice cream truck driver told me i couldn't get a popsicle. I always thought that i was a bad person or i thought that the color of my skin was the reason. when i turned 16, i realized that that guy was a racist. and i also realized that racism is still an issue... but it shouldn't have been an issue because it was just an icicle popsicle. go figure.

My neighbors brother once put an earthworm in his pocket so that he could throw it at me from close range. I know it sounds stupid but I am completely TERRIFIED of earthworms even to this day....I can't even walk by the coolers that hold the worms in fishing stores.
