The chances are slim, but I found out that I ovulate between 4-6 days before my period starts, most girls ovulate 12-16 days after the first day of their last period which would be more like a week to a week and half before their period, not just a few days, but I lucked out!
Good luck to you, I would say if you get your period July 26, start having sex every other day beginning August 6-12. Good luck again to you guys!!

On an average, a woman ovulates 2 weeks before her period. However, this can range as every woman's body is different. There's no way you could've ovulated 4 days before your period....

I would highly suggest purchasing the ClearBlue Easy Digital Ovulation Kit which can be bought at Target for $30 instead of $40 which is at most retail shops. This Digital kit has 7 tests which you pee on every morning (preferrably in the afternoon time) and if you're about to ovulate 12-36 hours, it will show you a digital smiley face. If you're not about to ovulate, then it will just show you a circle. The test detects LH Surge which is a hormone that is at it's top peak when you're about to ovulate (release the egg). Once you see that smiley face, you should have sex within 12-36 hours. Sperm can stay in your body anywhere from 3-5 days. Obviously this depends on both partners' health also. The reason I would suggest this digital test rather than other tests in the market is because the other aren't digital. You have to kind of guess yourself by looking at pink lines...if you're okay with that, then you can purchase the First Response Ovulation Kit. It's cheaper and has more tests but it's not digital.

Check out the Clearblue Easy Digital OPK:

Also, I've read that before you have sex, it's good for the male to drink coffee about 15 min because the sperm are more "jumpy" and can get to the egg faster...especially the y-sperm (boy sperm).

Good Luck and baby dust to you!

A lot depends on your cycle. Generally, cycles are 28 days and if you had sex 4 days before your period, more than likely you are not pregnant. You are fertile, on a 28 day cycle, on days 10-14. Day 14 you actually ovulate. Count the first day of your period and count 10 days and that is when you will be most fertile. If you have sex 4 days before your period, you most likely already ovulated from your last cycle.

Be patient and good things will come!

Hope this helps!

There is always a possibility of pregnancy. Most women ovulate 14 days before their next period. The ovum usually only live 12-24 hours. If you are stressed your period could be delayed, meaning you would ovulate later than usual.
try having sex 4 days after your period, than every day up to the time of ovulation. Good luck!

No. The egg is only good for about 24 hours, and then it takes at least 10 days before you have a period. That time is needed in order to get pregnant. If you did ovulate 4 days before you got a period, it would be a luteal phase defect and you couldn't get pregnant.

Probably not. You usually ovulate two weeks before you are supposed to get your period. If you had sex in the middle of your cycle that would be about the time that you would get pregnant.

I really doubt it. By 4 days before your period, your egg has already 'expired', so the chances are extremely slim. Your fertile day would be on day 14th and 15th if your cycle is 28 days.
