It is WAY too early for that. Right now it is just entertainment for the masses. Once all of the "wannabes" drop out and the Iowa Caucuses are over, the ones left standing will be the serious and viable candidates.
That is when the REAL debates start.
What has been going on over the last few months is NOT debating....it is face time for everyone. No REAL and viable candidate would ever reveal his/her platform or agenda at this very early stage of the game.
Once the race gets down to the nominees only, then you will see one-on-one debates.

These are the primary debates. In the primary, candidates compete against members of their own political party for the nomination. Once both parties nominate their candidates, the Republican and the Democrat will debate each other.

So that they stay civil. There would be a fight guaranteed if they were in the same hall. Democrats debate from their point of view and Republican from theirs. After the conventions they go head to head.

Because at this stage of the partisan process, each individual isolationist group is trying to decide among themselves who will be the spokesperson for their particular group.
That's the problem with partisan politics. It's all about who represents the party, and not who represents the people.
