Yes they can... BUT... I would strongly advise against it for several reasons.
1. Seahorses are very touchy about water quality and the more fish in the tank, they greater the possibility of a problem.
2. Seahorses are physically delicate. While they may get along fine for months, you never know when some fish may suddenly decide seahorse sounds like a good dinner.
3. Seahorses are very slow movers and therefore slow eaters. You will have to take great pains to very carefully target feed the seahorses to be sure they are getting adequate food each time you feed.
Sum it up as yes you can do it, but it's much tougher on you and the seahorses. Far better to house them alone in a very mature and stable tank.

So many people ask about seahorses and just for starters most species should only be kept in a minimum sized tank of 30 gallons. Seahorses can grow to 12 inches and need the vertical swimmi9ng space to be happy. they are slow eaters so keeping them with other fish may cause them to starve being the other fish will eat the food befor they have the chance to get any which will cause them to slowly starve to death. id recomend keeping them with some sponge gorgonia or any type of seafan because they like to hold on to it with thier tails. they should also only be kept in a mature tank that has been running for about 6 months and only be kept by an expierenced marine aquarist. There are some species as i just found out that are smaller and can but i believe are harder to find. Do research on these animals befor you decide to keep them, they are very delicate and expensive so losing one will be a big loss.

Seahorses are delicate creatures that need a mature tank designed for them, very special care, and preferably a very experienced and dedicated hobbiest. For sea horses - think species tank. Of course it's possible under the right conditions and care, but not a good way to learn about them.

Yes. My school used to have a huge tank that sat in the front lobby. We had two seahorses and many saltwater fish. I LOVED it. I don't know much about the upkeep but they can live together

Yes they can...when I was in Biology in college they had sea horses and fish in the same tank. They never attacked each other or anything...they were always intact!
