Personally, I'm sick and tired of hearing about the hot new look, trend, or celebrity gossip. It's pathetic, and it makes our children think it's more important to be anorexic or a party-goer rather than worrying about education or their future. What's more important? The fact that Ashlee Simpson got a nose job or the fact that our nation is at war and the up coming election is in need of educated voters who are up to date with current events? Besides that, if they can post celebrity gossip, why not post videos of actual footage from the war in Iraq? Our children are being sheltered from the world via the media and physical appearance and the "trendy" is being forced down their throats.

It accomplishes their goal -- which is to get people's attention, and hold their attention long enough to show them ads.

Presenting actual ideas and discussing issues in depth is beyond the attention span of too many of their audience.
