i wouldn't say it's the best one.
the subway in Mexico City is chaos!!!

unlike Mexico City's subway system, the one in Cairo, Egypt I've heard is very good and clean too.

I've used the subways in Madrid and Barcelona, and they're reallly great.

I haven't ridden on all the subways in the world, so i can't say the one in Mexico City is the best.
but it's very useful to get to places quick and at a cheap rate.

It's definitely not the best... it works just fine, but many cities have more extensive subway networks, and Mexico City's isn't enough for all the users and for a city of 20 million. It is really cheap because it's subsidized by the government (about 20 US cents), but can get very very crowded, people don't usually let others leave the subway car before getting in the subway, and vice versa.

Of the subways I've ridden (Mexico City, New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Athens, Greece), Mexico City is my favorite. It's easy to figure out how to get where you want to go. It's easier than driving a car in Mexico City. If you can avoid riding it at rush hour, you can miss the touchers and the pickpockets.

The Mexico City subway is really quick and efficient, BUT it gets really packed(you could pass out and your body would still be upright) and some men see it as an opportunity for an opportunity to touch your goodies

Several websites point out that the mexico city subway is the cheapest in the world, and it is an extremely clean, efficient system...however, it is not included in the top 11 in the world. See website below.

I doubt it. I'd have to have used all the subways in the world to compare, but this city is madness when it rains. Many subway stations are outdoors and whenever it rains, the metro becomes very very slow, taking 15-20 minute stops per station. Add the millions of people trying to get home, you have hell.

It is definetly not the cleanest one, although it is cheap my foreign friends laugh at what the tickets cost.

Mexico City is a exceptional situation, with plenty of unhealthy press. It has plenty to look: Bella Artes Zocalo Museum of Anthropology National Autonomous University Centro Histrico Teotihuacan First elegance meals, golf equipment And extra.... Yes, there are locations you will have to hinder or should you "have" to head(like Tepito), overlook your backpack/digital camera/watch, cross dressed down in denims and a blouse.
