What is a Proxy Server?

Address you find at http://www.google.com/

I recommend that you don't use it.

You can get kicked out of school or get fired from your job by using it.

In computer networks, a proxy server is a server (a computer system or an application program) which services the requests of its clients by forwarding requests to other servers. A client connects to the proxy server, requesting some service, such as a file, connection, web page, or other resource, available from a different server. The proxy server provides the resource by connecting to the specified server and requesting the service on behalf of the client. A proxy server may optionally alter the client's request or the server's response, and sometimes it may serve the request without contacting the specified server.

To find a proxy server, do a google search !

A proxy server is a server that your computer contacts to request an address (like when you enter a URL), and the proxy forwards that request to the server that has the information you are requesting. Many proxy servers are configured to allow only certain computers to make requests, and to allow only certain types of information to be accessed (or to deny/block certain types of information).

I'm not sure what you mean about how to find the address... not all computers use a proxy, and if you need one, whoever set up your network would need to tell you what it is and what port you need to access it on.
