I am big fan of the Eagles, espcially Take it Easy. What other bands/songs are similar to that.

Southern Rock!

My favorite.

Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, James Gang, Pure Prairie League, The Band, Bob Seger, America, Kansas, The Doobie Brothers, .38 Special, Jackson Browne, Jethro Tull, Atlanta Rhythm Section, I could go on forever (although some of the last ones aren't really Southern Rock).

If you ever need more suggestions, just ask me. I'd love to help. [[:

Well, Don Henley, Glenn Frey, and Joe Walsh all did solo albums, and Joe played lead for the James Gang. Jackson Browne also had some early connection to the Eagles. I'd start with them.

Try Dire Straits, especially the song "Sultans of swing" or "the Byrds" as their former bass player was in the eagles. Eric Clapton and his bands (derek and the dominoes / cream) are also probably good bets. The music is all of a similar style.

You may like the Doobie Brothers who were also very popular in the 70's.
Joe Walsh of the Eagles recorded some of his great hits later on.
Tom Petty is also a longtime country rock favorite.
