I lived for 3 1/2 years in Sardinia. I have been to Naples several times (but didn't hang around, and went to Toregaveta to the north. No one spoke English, no Americans. I LOVED that little town!). I spent 6 weeks on a job in Sicily and really enjoyed being there. I wish I could spend more time. If I were ever to become extremely rich, I'd love to live in Italy, and travel all around the country. I used to dream frequently in Italian. Che bella Italia!

Great way to learn a language! However, if I depended you learn about a culture though the films about it, I would be scared to death about looking at the US...oops, maybe I should be and I live here.

Italy is like all countries: filled with lovely art and history, great food and fabulous people. It just takes time to get away from the tourist areas and have the time to see it all. (p.s. Same goes for America)
