I want to become an actor but i don't know where to start?

Question

I am 16 years old. I have acting at my school so I do have some Exsperience. I can be very dramatic and I deticate myself to anythign i play. I am very outgoing and not really scared to do anything! Well with in reason.

Hi,

The first thing I would recommend is that you get good training. You might be able to get an agent, but you also want to be able to keep him/her and get sent out on lot of auditions.

I really want to be an actor to. I have found this book called "Breaking into Acting: for Dummies" very helpful. It gives guidelines, what to do info, tips, and how to train and improve. It also tells the elements and ways of a con artist. Its very good.

I'm no expert at all but I've had a passing interest in the art myself and was told to talk to the local actors union. Here in Ontario the biggest one is ACTRA. their website might help you with some generic questions on their FAQ page.
