yes!! definitely!! it was great!! i'm actually not very fond of musicals (i sorta hate them), so it is very rare that i say such things. in addition to it's catchy, upbeat songs, the characters were so cute and funny! this movie made me and my friends want to get up and dance (lame, but seriously). i downloaded most of the songs by the time i got home. zac efron's character was, at times, corny, but his appearance does not disappoint. oh and james marsden as well ... so hot!!

Hairspray has been around for as long as I seem to remember and I never, ever had the desire to see it. Isn't it funny that after all this time and MEDIA HYPE - now I want to see it???? This lets you know how strongggggggg the media addiction can be with us mere, weak humans who struggle so hard to break away. (smile)
Really, the only reason I would go see it is because of JOHN TRAVOLTA. I would not care what he played in - I love his acting ability and I am sure he is just as great playing a female role.

I saw it last Saturday. I really enjoyed it! The story is changed a little from the John Waters film, and it is not as 'sleazy', more mainstream, but still keeps some of that 'outrageous' quality. The songs and dances are very cute, and the cast is very good. I was completely entertained. You should definitely see it!
Better yet, rent the John Waters version from 1988, and -then- go see the musical so you can compare and contrast.

Absolutely go see it, i saw it, and it was so good, i want to see it 10 more times in theaters, and then buy it.

i saw it opening day and it is the best i'm going to go see it again this weekend. Zav Efron was the best in it he is soo hot in the whole '60s look. you should go see it.
