I understand people hating those that have hurt someone, but why is there so much at people who are just different, not bad. Color of their skin, their nationality, the clothes they wear, the people they fall in love with. Will we ever learn to stop hating?

For a while in the 90's it seemed that racism was beginning to fall away.... especially during the time of political correctness. But slowly comedians on television began "pushing the envelope", telling racist jokes. Their excuse for making racist jokes is that it's okay as long as racist jokes are about everyone and not always aimed just at one group. But I'll never forget I once heard someone say that people often hide their racism through jokes. I think certain forms of entertainment make it hard for some (some, not all) people to distinguish between humor and racism... and I'm afraid more and more people might feel more comfortable saying things that are admittedly or un-admittedly racist. Whatever the reason, there's no excuse for it... and I'm afraid people may be using "humor" as an excuse or a mask for their racism. And the answer then would be, that people may feel all the more comfortable being racist because of this. Through desensitization from "entertainment" and thereby using entertainment ("joking") as an excuse, that lie of an excuse has become socially "acceptable".

Unfortunately no. I think hate, racism, and all the evils of the world is an economic side effect. There's not enough to go around (food, land, whatever) so we fight over who gets it. That as a result creates fractions among people that are near impossible to heal. Until we control our population (which will never happen) there will be hatred in the world.

Unfortunately, hatred and bigotry are masks of ignorance. People only know what they are taught. It's a sad state of the world indeed. Getting communities involved together in projects that are culturally diverse will help to educate others about differences in others. Education is the key to stopping ignorance.

1. social stratification - the process by which one group accululates wealth while others gradually or quickly fall behind - magnifies and intensifies ill will; those who are "different" become easy targets.

2. culture clash - not just "Americanization" - the so-called "third world" feels threatened by Western influences, while Western cultures feel threatened by third-world immigrants and influences.

3. mono-ideology - be it monotheism or staunch allegiance to an orthodox political ideology - the concept that there is only one "right" or "pure" way to think is as ludicrous as the "master race" theories of 70-ish years ago, and encourages intolerance and strife.

There has always been hatred and bigotry in the world starting with Cain and Abel. A man by the name of Jesus was crucified because of it.

God gave us all free will. He doesn't attempt to change what we do with our free will; but we will all be taken to task at the end regarding what we did with it.

Pray for Peace,
j.

Because black men are infiltrating the white world, and taking the white women away from the white men. Why can't they just stay in their own group, and leave our women alone. They are minorities,...NOT majorities.
