I believe the Camaro's shared the same axle size and suspension type as the Nova so anything from 67-79 should work as well as any Buick, Olds or Pontiac of the same years and body style. Auto salvage yards have interchange books that can also tell you what years and models will fit. Mono leaf setup was for the more lower horsepower engine combo's if I'm not mistaken so you may want to go with a multi-leaf setup for a higher horsepower application.

The mono-leaf suspension was 6 cylinder equipment so I would first switch over to multi leaf or go with an after-market split mono-leaf for your car, rated for its weight and HP. Next is the perch width and depth, mono or multi-leaf, measure back plate to back plate then inside to inside on the perches, they can be moved if you find a great deal on an axle. Either 10 or 12 bolt axles could have been in that car but you could also just regear and beef up the suspension.

first, the mono leaf spring was for the six cylinder engine. go to the junkyard or the aftermarket for the correct multi leaf springs for this year car-you won't regret it.
any axle with any ratio will fit (like camaro/firebird, etc) providing the width is similar. check that shock mounts and spring pads are at the correct dimensions and locations.
there are dozens of ratios that can be set up in a 10 bolt or 12 bolt, depending on what you want to do with the car.

Your 72 Nova has the mono-leaf suspension? Someone redid it then, because they came with standard leaf spring suspension in them.
