First of all... CONGRATULATIONS!!! And welcome to Tupperware!
I have read the last two comments to your question. And, respectfully, they are not correct. I am a very successful Tupperware Director located in Indianapolis, Indiana. You may view my websites at www.tammyhornek.com or www.my.tupperware.com/hornek.
Tupperware is one of the most recognized brands in the WORLD. We have one of the absolute easiest brands to SELL. It's wonderful.
However, to be successful, you must work for yourself just as you would work for someone else. Here are a couple of recommendations I can give you:
1) Pull out a calendar and highlight the days and time slots that you want to work Tupperware. Carry that calendar with you and work to fill those dates with parties. When you give people a choice of dates, they will book easier with you. The point of working Tupperware is to do it ON YOUR TIME. Unless you select your dates ahead of time--taking into account your personal, kids, work and family schedule... you may book a party into a date that will prove to be inconvenient. When a day comes that you have blocked to work--and you don't have a party, work your business during that time. Make calls to schedule your future dates, call customers to ask if they are enjoying their products, go to the mall and hand out some sale flyers. Do something. When you are schedule to work... work.
2) There is a 1-2-3 success plan to getting your Tupperware business started off right. This is the same success plan I follow to this day.
3) Talk to 3 people about Tupperware a day. If people do not know you sell Tupperware, how can they purchase from you? People are LOOKING for Tupperware consultants!
2) Hold 2 parties a week. If you can't hold 2 parties a week, then decide how many you can hold. Maybe it's once a month. Whatever your number, do it consistently. Consistency is the key in any business.
1) Recruit one person a month. With our new buyer's priviledges account, this has gotten easier. Offer Tupperware to everyone! If they want Tupperware and feel it is too costly, then they need to purchase it at a discount!
With regards to the person who said Tupperware is too expensive: Tupperware now offers sales specials that are absolutely cost effective! For instance, we have a special right now where you can get Tupperware for as low as $3.98 an item! I always recommend to my customers: Purchase what you like when it is on sale! I have replaced items dated 1954 for FREE because they cracked. When you use a bowl for Tupperware on sale is comparable to cheaper plastic containers at your local discount store... and last time I checked-- they don't offer a lifetime warranty!
If you have any more questions regarding your Tupperware business, you please feel free to contact me.

Let your enthusiasm for Tupperware be your lead. If you truly believe you can be successful, then so will everyone else.
The absolute best thing about Tupperware is that of all the consultants, managers, directors and anyone else I know, want nothing more than for you or I to succeed.

Tupperware is becoming increasingly more difficult to sell, due to the prices of the products.
Tupperware is excellent stuff. We have some over thirty years of age which still functions well. However, RubberMaid and others have developed a huge array of similar products which, while not as time durable as Tupperware, DO serve the need quite well.
In spite of our good luck with our Tupperware, we no longer buy it, in favor of far less expensive alternatives.
