Its normal for the movement to be irregular at first. I first felt my baby at 17 weeks or so, then didn't feel it again really till 19. Then around 21 it just started punching the crap out of me!
The doctor told me it was normal to go days or weeks without really feeling it in the beginning, and its not a cause for worry until you are around 22 weeks or so.

Nope, don't stress about it! At that stage of pregnancy the baby's movement will be very sporadic. You may feel it a lot one day and not at all the next. As the pregnancy progresses, you'll notice the baby moving more and more frequently, until it pretty much feels like he/she is moving all the time. At least that's where I'm at now at 28 weeks. I started feeling him all the time at around 24 - 25 weeks, and it's just getting stronger. Of course, all pregnancies are different so don't go by that of course to judge your own milestones. Also, as the baby gets bigger later on in pregnancy, the movements will slow down again because the baby is so big he has no room to move. So try not to stress out, but if you really need some reassurance, just call your doc - I call mine all the time for different things! They don't mind, they're used to it. Good luck with your pregnancy!

When you first start to feel the baby move, it won't be all the time. Sometimes once or twice a day or every other day. But if u pass the 23rd week and don't feel it move everyday, then call ur DR right away. As u get further along the baby movement should become more frequent, more stronger and much more noticeable. At 24 weeks...i started feeling my baby moving almost 24 hrs a day sometimes. It's a great feeling and amazing to see it move inside of u...so enjoy it

There is nothing to be scared about. I will also be 18 weeks (due Christmas Day) tomorrow and sometimes I can feel the baby move more than on other days. There is nothing to be worried about. Usually after 28 weeks is when your provider will want you to start doing kick counts. Remember your baby isn't that big yet and therefore you won't feel every movement. Email me if you have any other questions. I wish you the best of luck.

I went through the same thing sweetie. I felt the baby move for the first time about the same time you did and then nothing!! At the stage you are in it's perfectly normal...don't worry, in a few more weeks you'll feel him/her all the time! Meanwhile, it's always reassuring to call the doctor. Good Luck!

No, it's still early. Don't worry. I first felt my baby at 16 weeks and of course I worried when a day would go by that I didn't feel him but it's very normal so don't feel the need to worry. I'm now 26 weeks and everything is going well.

No, just be patient. At this age in gestation, it is not uncommon to feel the baby move sometimes and not move other times (even for whole days). We don't even start having patients do Fetal Kick Counts until they are 28 weeks along. However, if you have bleeding, cramping, or other unusual symptoms, then you should notify your doctor. Hope this helps!

YOU NEED TO GO TO YOUR DOCTORS ASAP! SO THEY CAN DO A NON STRESS TEST AN A ULTRASOUND!!!
This is my opion because i was the same way and the doctors said that there could be something worng so they did a non stress test and took some ultrasounds. but it could be that the baby is just sleeping.
Hey everyones different though
