um advise..dealing with a civil assault charge..which happened in a different state from that which i'm being charged with

this drunk girl ran over our parked car, she got a dui, i slamed a door on a guys nose, cause i thought he was getting out to fight..i wasn't charged with anything on the scene..i.e. assault, but his lawyer in another state wants my insurance information to cover damages

Go to court and you will be assigned an attorney who will advise you.

Your first 'Additional Details' makes no sense. The second makes a little sense. I would not provide the attorney requesting insurance information with the time of day before consulting my own attorney. Unless he actually sues, I doubt I would even bother consulting an attorney.

Then you should speak to an attorney licensed in your state that is experienced in the type of legal issue that you are facing.

Don't rely on the random advice of anonymous people on the internet.
